Japanese Buffet in Mizu, TTDI Plaza
The FatSensei metformin hydrochloride and weight loss loves buffets. For this month’s edition of FatBytes, the FatSensei would like to introduce you to Mizu, fine Japanese cuisine, at TTDI Plaza, Taman Tun Dr Ismail.
A lot of Japanese buffets out there are big on quantity but have, unfortunately, lost the quality of food. That is why FatSensei loves the buffet at Mizu. If you were wondering, I do not get any commission for writing this – it is my honest opinion, as I always am.
Located in almost-deserted TTDI Plaza, Mizu’s signboard can be seen clearly at the 1st floor corner lot of the building. It has a nice Japanese ambiance going for it. Unlike most buffet restaurants, at Mizu, the waiters and waitresses serve you as though you were eating à la carte. If buffet is too much for you, you can opt for à la carte as well, though FatSensei thinks the buffet is more value for money.
The picture above shows how one orders their dishes. FatSensei thinks that pictures speak many many words.
There is a lot more food which FatSensei could not post here. After awhile, I got too busy eating to take photos. Sorry.
I vaguely remember ordering Unagi, Teriyaki, grilled dishes, Chawanmushi, Shisamo, California roll and so much more.
To end the meal with a big bang, go for the ice cream dessert. Featured here is the Goma and Macha ice cream.
The price per adult is about RM65++. If you bring a kodomo (child), he/she must be below a certain height for it to be free. FatSensei thinks that it’s only half-price for kodomos.
So, there you go. If you want to book the place, call 03 7728 6498. The address is:
C-2-1, TTDI Plaza, Jalan Wan Kadir 3, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, 60000 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
FatSensei will introduce you to another place in our 3rd edition of FatBytes.
Sayonara! (Where do I go to lose my 150kg now?)

Hi FatSensei, is this Mizu’s weekend buffet? I noticed you quoted a higher price, RM65++. I paid RM50++ when I last went. Has their price gone up?
Dear Jo Lee, you are right, this is Mizu’s weekend buffet. If you book during weekdays, you may also get the buffet deal. Do check with them. As for the price, it is now RM65++ the last time we went which was December last year. Hope my answer is helpful to you. Gong Xi Fatt Chai to you too! – Best Regards, FatSensei
Thanks for your reply. I was snooping around the web and i think the RM65++ buffet is a dinner one. yes? otherwise, it seems the RM50++/RM55++ still remains for lunch buffet.
Dear Jo Lee,
It is good to hear from you. You might be right on the pricing as FatSensei normally goes there for dinner and not lunch. To be really certain, do call them at 03 7728 6498 to check out the lunch package. Wishing you a Happy Valentine’s day too!
– best regards, FatSensei
Is there ala carte for lunch?
Dear Joanna,
If you cannot eat a lot, FatSensei knows that they do serve ala carte. But FatSensei does not eat ala carte as the amount FatSensei would be eating will be more expensive than eating the buffet option itself. Compare the pricing of the ala carte dish which you will be eating and make your decision base on that. Happy Valentine’s day!
Best regards, FatSensei
